Bury EST and Stockport Employment Services have been successfully arranging employment for people with a disability for many years. We have increasingly been working together to influence policy and engage on a more regional basis. Without employers there are no jobs for our clients and we recognise the crucial role that employers have in addressing social exclusion and disadvantage in the labour market.

Embracing Diversity is a follow-on to our previous project with employers - Equal Partners. We have secured funding through the European Social Fund's EQUAL programme until May 2005 and intend to work closely with employers to develop a new approach to the supported employer model based on a Human Resources approach.
